He gained extensive experience with infants and toddlers while a full-time volunteer with the Vincentian Service Corps. Employed as a child health care worker at the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children in Newark, NJ, he had the opportunity to work intimately with an early intervention team consisting of Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists, Nurses, and Physical Therapists. It was there he fully appreciated how beneficial constructive play was to the physical, mental, and neurological development of an infant.
